Mozambique post-election protests: Why so many dead in Nampula?
President of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, is tomorrow starting an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany at the invitation of Chancellor Angela Merkel, with the stated aim of deepening relations of friendship and cooperation.
A presidency note received by Notícias says that during his stay President Nyusi will hold official talks with Angela Merkel, meet his German counterpart, Joachim Gauck, the Federal Minister of Cooperation and Development, Gerd Mulle and members of the Mozambican community in Germany.
It is hoped the visit will attract more German investment in Mozambique, with participation in the Mozambique-Germany Business Forum and a visit the Turbine Production Unit of Siemens, Berlin, also on the president’s agenda.
Filipe Nyusi will be accompanied on his visit by the ministers of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation, Oldemiro Baloi; Mineral Resources and Energy, Pedro Conceição Couto; Industry and Trade, Ernesto Max Tonela, and a delegation of Mozambican entrepreneurs.
