A bridge over the Muira River in Tambara will be officially opened by President Nyusi tomorrow at the beginning of a three-day working visit to Manica province.
With a budget of more than 130 million meticais, the bridge was built by Portuguese company Soares da Costa, and will take the district out of its cyclical rainy season isolation when the river runs.
The bridge will also be of vital importance connecting National Road 529 to National Road 7 year-round and galvanising the agriculture-based local economy.
