President Nyusi receives US and five more new ambassadors’ credentials

Facebook of the US Embassy Maputo / President Filipe Nyusi received the new US ambassador Dean Pittman in a short audience following the presentation of credentials, Thursday, 18 February 2016.

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi received the credentials of six new ambassadors, last week, Thrusday, Febraury 18.

Howard Dean Pittman of the United States was the first to present his credentials, followed by Carlos Parker from Chile, Hubert Cooreman from the UK and Osman Kamara of Sierra Leone. Eleftheiros Kouvaritaskis becomes the Greek ambassador and Andre Nzapayeke will represent the Central African Republic.

Only the United States ambassador is to live in Mozambique full time. With the exception of the Sierra Leone ambassador, who will reside in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, the remainder will be based in Pretoria, South Africa.
