In the context of the commemoration of the 184th Anniversary of the Abolition of Slavery in Mauritius which will be celebrated on 1st February 2019, H.E. Mr. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique will be on an official visit to Mauritius from 30th January to 2nd February 2019 to grace the event as Chief Guest.
The President of Mozambique will be accompanied by a strong business delegation comprising key institutions namely the Mozambique Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX) and the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA).
To that end, the Economic Development Board (EDB) in collaboration with APIEX and CTA will host a Business Forum and Networking Event on Saturday 2nd February 2019 from 8h30 to 15h30 at Hilton Mauritius Resort & Spa, Flic en Flac.
The event themed “Mauritius-Mozambique: Unlocking Trade and Investment Opportunities” will provide a unique platform to showcase investment opportunities in Mauritius and Mozambique.
In the sidelines of the State Visit, B2B matchmaking sessions will also be organized with a view to focus on unlocking potential joint ventures and strategic alliances between Mauritian and Mozambican operators.
H.E. Mr. Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, President of the Republic of Mozambique, Honourable Ragendra de Sousa, Minister of Industry and Commerce of Mozambique and Honourable Seetanah Lutchmeenaraidoo, G.C.S.K, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade will grace the opening ceremony of the Business Forum.
