Mozambique’s President Filipe Nyusi has congratulated his South African counterpart, Cyril Ramaphosa, on his re-election as president in that country’s 08 May elections.
In a message to the president-elect sent yesterday, Nyusi said he was very pleased with the election of his counterpart to the post of President of the Republic of South Africa in the country’s sixth general election.
“Your election reflects the confidence that the South African people place in your wise leadership to continue to propel the country and the South African people toward greater prosperity and well-being,” Nyusi’s message reads.
“I take this opportunity, on behalf of the People, of the Government of the Republic of Mozambique and my own, to extend our sincere congratulations to you, Mr. President, on the election to the highest office and to the people of South Africa for the orderly, peaceful and transparent manner in which it exercised its democratic right,” the document adds.
