Mozambique: Chapo calls for transparency in public administration

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi on Sunday arrived in the Zambian city of Ndola to attend the Zambia International Trade Fair.
President Nyusi was invited to the event by his Zambian counterpart, Edgar Lungu. According to a press release from the President’s office, the visit is in response to the recent State visit to Mozambique by President Lungu.
The President is being accompanied by the recently appointed Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Ragendra de Sousa, and the governor of Tete province Paulo Auade. Other members of the delegation include the Tete provincial director for agriculture and food security, the administrators of the districts of Zumbo, Maravia, and Chifunde, and staff from the President’s office.
The fair has over five hundred exhibitors, with more than a hundred international stalls from countries such as Botswana, China, Democratic Republic of Congo, Egypt, Ghana, India, Indonesia, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, United Arab Emirates, and Zimbabwe.
The fair runs from 29 June until 5 July.
