President Filipe Nyusi will be in Windhoek, capital of the Republic of Namibia, from 17 to 18 August 2018 to participate in the 38th Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
At the summit, held under the motto “Promoting infrastructure development and youth empowerment for sustainable development”, SADC heads of state and governments will review progress in the regional integration process, the industrialisation of the SADC, deliberations on the peace and security situation and electoral processes in the region.
President Nyusi will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs and Cooperation José Condugua António Pacheco; of Industry and Commerce, Ragendra de Sousa; Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports Ana Flávia João de Azinheira; High Commissioner of Mozambique in South Africa, Paulino Macaríngue; Ambassador of Mozambique to Botswana and Permanent Representative of Mozambique to SADC, Domingos Fernandes; as well as members of staff of the presidency and other state institutions.
