President Nyusi ended his working visit to the city of Nampula on Sunday with a popular rally where he attacked those spreading false information about cholera and the ‘chupa sangue’ (blood-sucking) phenomenon in the province and other regions of the country.
The head of state asked the population to be vigilant and united, as such rumours caused instability in communities.
In his speech, President Nyusi introduced to the public new members of the Political Committee of Frelimo, the Central Committee, the Secretariat and the Verification Committee elected at the XI Frelimo Congress in Matola.
The president was accompanied on his visit by Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce, Ragendra de Sousa, staff of the presidency and other state institutions.
