The leaders of Frelimo party brigades for the eleven provinces were announced by party president Filipe Nyusi at the conclusion of the two-day Central Committee members’ meeting in Nampula.
For Niassa, brigade chiefs are Carlos Agostinho do Rosário and Chakil Felizardo Abubacar; for Cabo Delgado, Filipe Paúnde and Jaime Monteiro; for Nampula, Tomaz Solomao and Caifadine Manasse; for Zambézia, Manuel Tomé and Francisco Hussein; for Tete, Alberto Chipande and Ana Rita Sithole; for Sofala, Eneas Comiche and Aires Ali; for Manica, Sérgio Pantie and Conceição Sortane; for Inhambane, Alcinda Abreu Mondlane; for Gaza, Verónica Macamo and Raimundo Pachinuapa; for Maputo Province, Eduardo Mulémbwè and Nyeleti Mondlane; and for Maputo City, Margarida Talapa.
After announcing the appointments, the Frelimo president said: “We are taking this issue seriously, because we want a functional and working party built on capacity.”
