PR visits bridge over Montepuez River, construction works of new bridge begin in March

The connection between nine districts and the rest of the province of Cabo Delgado has already been reestablished, after it was interrupted for more than 20 days ago as a result of the collapse of the bridge over the Montepuez River.

On Saturday, the President of the Republic walked between the two banks of the river to make sure that the alternative solution, expected to minimise the suffering of the population, is a success, TVM reports.

Filipe Nyusi also guaranteed that construction works for a definitive bridge will start in March.
