The central and northern regions of Mozambique will be without power from 5:00 AM to 4:00 PM on the 23rd of this month due to maintenance of the country’s electrical infrastructure.
A statement from Mozambique Electricity’s North-South Transportation Division states that, in the context of annual infrastructure maintenance, the Cahora Bassa hydroelectric dam will cut supply to the Songo substation for eleven hours.
Preventive maintenance will also take place.
The Songo substation down-time will leave Manica, Sofala, Tete, Zambezia, Nampula, Niassa and Cabo Delgado provinces completely without national grid power.
