Mozambique: Small business entrepreneurs protest against "high fees" at Maputo airport - report

The Portuguese Minister of Economy Pedro Siza Vieira is visiting Mozambique from today until Thursday, Siza Vieira is attending the Agricultural, Commercial and Industrial Fair of Mozambique (FACIM) and liaising with several Portuguese companies operating in Mozambique.
Shortly after landing in Maputo, Minister Siza Vieira headed to Ricatla, Marracuene, for the opening of the 55th edition of FACIM, where 20 companies from Portugal, the best-represented foreign country at the fair, are participating, according to a note sent to the Lusa agency by the Portuguese Ministry of the Economy.
Meetings are also planned with members of the Mozambican government, along with participation in the gala awarding prizes to the enterprises Cooperation Mozambique, Téktónica Mozambique and the Portuguese Industrial Association.
Tomorrow (Tuesday), the Portuguese minister of Economy will launch a yearbook at the Portugal Mozambique Chamber of Commerce, visit several companies and deliver a speech during the celebration of Portugal Day at FACIM.
The next day and until leaving, on Thursday, Pedro Vieira will visit Beira, in Sofala province, where he will update on the reconstruction of the central hospital surgical rooms and hold meetings with Portuguese companies.
The city of Beira was one of the hardest hit by the passing of Cyclone Idai in March.
