Portuguese businessman Joaquim Cavaco Malagueira, owner of ‘Soundlight’, was murdered in Maputo.
The businessman was found dead this morning.
An employee found the body. The criminal investigation team working on the case does not allow him to make any statements to the press.
The deceased lived alone in the Bagamoyo neighbourhood, in Maputo.
Joaquim Cavaco Malagueira had been living in Mozambique since 2007 and his family is currently in Portugal.
The circumstances surrounding the homicide are still unclear. There is only the indication that it was a “violent crime”, the consul-general of Portugal in the capital of Mozambique told Lusa news agency.
The Portuguese Consulate is in contact with the Mozambican authorities and with the family.
