Brazil economists trim end-2026 interest rate forecast after seven months

-The chairman of the board of Mota-Engil,António Mota,and the company’s CEO,Gonçalo Moura Martins, have resigned from their positions in the company in what was described as the start of a “process of generational change” in the group, it was announced on Monday.
At the next meeting of the board, Carlos Mota Santos is to be proposed as the new chairman and CEO.
“After the change in the shareholder structure, which took place in 2021, and the approval of the Strategic Plan for the 2022-26 period … and in a totally concerted, consensual and participated manner by the group’s reference shareholders, and at their own initiative, Messrs António Mota and Gonçalo Moura Martins decided to resign from their current positions,” reads the statement sent to Portugal’s Securities Markets Commission (CMVM).
The decision, it adds, is aimed at beginning a “process of generational change and renewal” of the group.
