Ports and Railways of Mozambique (CFM) expects to achieve positive results of its operations estimated at around 1.4 billion meticais this year, almost exactly the same as in 2015.
According to data in the 2016 state budget, the company expects revenue of 9,000 million meticais, an increase of 2.29 percent over the previous year, and will contribute to the state with about 30 million meticais in taxes and fees, against about 23 million in 2015, an increase of three percent.
Estimated payments to “third-party service supplies” and “compensation to employees” represent the greatest outgoings in 2016, estimated at 35.39 percent and 33.80 percent respectively, while the company will this year invest just over 200 million meticais.
The company Mozambique Ports and Railways was established by Decree No. 40/94 of September 13, with a registered capital of 1,242,981,02 meticais, its main object being rail transport of people and cargo and the provision of port services.
