Mozambique: Population finds remains of supposed attack victims in Cabo Delgado
O País
Dozens of people who were living in the Malanga neighbourhood, now resettled in Tenga to make way for construction of the Maputo-Katembe bridge, rioted today in Maputo Sul offices demanding basic social services.
They expressed their discontent over alleged violations of the promises made by Maputo Sul when they had to move from Malanga to Tenga.
For about two hours, Maputo Sul met with representatives of the population to better understand the concerns. After meeting with the CEO, Silva Magaia, acknowledged the problem and said that at the moment there are no financial conditions to cater for their needs.
