“Population of Palma has confidence in the Defence and Security Forces” – Governor of Cabo Delgado

Governor of Cabo Delgado Valygi Tauabo says that the population of Palma continues to have confidence in the Defence and Security Forces (FDS) fighting terrorists in the districts.
Governor Tauabo says that residents remaining in Palma after the terrorist attack of March 24 were testament to the hard work of the FDS, who were doing everything to defend the country.
“The Mozambican people cannot be manipulated to satisfy the wishes of just anybody. So, there are still citizens in Palma, who cannot be forced to leave. Our Defence and Security Forces are working night and day to ensure the security of our province,” Governor Tauabo said.
The Governor of Cabo Delgado was speaking during a visit to a transitional centre for displaced persons currently located in the Pemba sports complex.
