Mozambique: Human traffickers use social media to lure their victims – PGR
Maputo Police Commander Rafael Bernardino gave the criminals who shot dead two policemen on Tuesday in the city’s Hulene neighbourhood seven days to hand themselves in, adding the one of the gang was already in custody.
Rafael also urged all citizens in possession of illegal firearms to surrender the weapons voluntarily within the same time frame, after which the corporation is to trigger a collection operation.
The appeals were made at the Lhanguene cemetery during the funeral of two 22nd precinct officers, Sergeant Sergio Muchanga and police guard Sagres Simbine, who were killed on active duty in the neighbourhood.
Hulene PRM Station Commander Flora Quebo praised the work of the deceased and said that the loss of the pair was irreparable.

This is a terrible tragedy. Also the call for the criminals to hand themselves in is a call for help as the judicial system does not appear to efficiently, expeditiously and independently exercise its mandate.
