Police say marital differences behind murder of Valentina Guebuza, deny husband’s suicide

Police have just reacted officially to the death of Valentina Guebuza, who was murdered yesterday. At a press conference this morning in Maputo, authorities said that, according to the accused, marital disagreements were the motive behind the crime.
Valentina Guebuza was killed by four shots from a pistol illegally acquired in South Africa by her husband, Zófimo Muiuane.
In addition to the gun, police said they found two pistol magazines at the couple’s residence.
Authorities say social networks reports of her husband’s suicide are incorrect, and that he is currently in police custody.
