Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) in Tete shot and killed a defenceless citizen and later wounded four people in a protest against the incident, one of them a child.
The incident happened on Monday (10) in circumstances not yet clarified by the PRM, which accuses the deceased of being a facilitator of illegal immigration.
Enraged citizens bore the deceased’s coffin to the PRM District Command in Macanga and protested for an explanation of the man’s death.
The police responded with shots in the air, wounding four people, including a child being carried by his mother.
