Folha de Maputo (edited)
The Police of the Republic of Mozambique (PRM) has smashed a gang of four individuals involved in thefts from stores and homes in the Mozambican capital.
According to Maputo PRM spokesman Orlando Mudumane, the gang was arrested last week, and police have seized stolen money and the gun and Ranex car used in the robberies.
Despite being acknowledged as the head of the gang by the other members, a Ministry of Defence employee named Augusto O. denies any involvement, claiming that he was only hired to provide taxi services.
