Police in the city of Beira have arrested two individuals belonging to a gang of seven people who attempted to rob a supermarket manager’s residence with a pistol, machetes and a car last weekend.
The individuals were arrested around midnight last Friday. The police were already on standby when the arrest was made, the victim had alerted the authorities that he had noticed that he was recently always being followed by the same vehicle.
When the thieves entered the residence in question, the police acted. Both detainees deny involvement in the crime.
Police say they will continue to search for the other fugitives to close this case.
