Poaching in Pomene: Monkey hunter handed 8-year prison sentence – TVM

A court has sentenced a monkey poacher active in the Pomene National Reserve, in Massinga district, Inhambane province, to eight years in prison.
The defendant was also sentenced to pay a fine of forty times the minimum wage – approximately two and a half million meticais – to the state.
