President Filipe Nyusi said yesterday in Maputo that lasting peace in Mozambique depends intrinsically on national and international players.
Speaking on the theme of the ‘International and Domestic Environment for Peace in Mozambique: Actors, Consensuses, Challenges and Prospects’, the president stressed that the achievement of a lasting peace was the exclusive responsibility of all Mozambicans.
President Nyusi also announced the imminent conclusion of the discussion of military matters in a process he said required patience and reconciliation.
The head of state’s speech took place on the occasions of his accepting a doctorate honoris causa in international relations from the School of Diplomacy and International Relations of Geneva, Switzerland.
