Optic fibre cut affecting communicatons to and from northern Mozambique

A severance of the National Telecommunications Network optic fibre in the Mugeba–Alto Molócue section in Zambezia province has been affecting communications in the entire northern region of the country since early Sunday morning.
A statement from Telecommunications of Mozambique says that the situation is restricting the flow of both voice and Internet data.
According to the statement, technical teams are on the scene repairing the damage and will restore communications shortly.
