Nyusi says new British Prime Minister will be a force for peace and prosperity

Mozambican President Filipe Nyusi,yesterday congratulated new British Prime Minister Theresa May on her appointment, expressing his belief that her leadership would be a force for peace and prosperity in the world.
“In these difficult and challenging times for your country, and of course for the European Union and the rest of the world, I am convinced that your leadership and wisdom will lead the UK along a solid and durable path, envisaged at joining efforts for solidarity in Europe and peace and prosperity in the world,” the president’s letter reads.
Theresa May took over as head of the British government on Wednesday, succeeding David Cameron, who resigned following the referendum vote committing the United Kingdom to leaving the European Union.
