The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, appointed through Presidential Dispatch Conceita Ernesto Xavier Sortane to the position of Minister of Education and Human Development.
Master in Education and Curriculum from the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, Brazil, Conceição Sortane is currently a parliament member of the Frelimo party, where she serves=d as Chair of the Committee on Social Affairs, Gender, Technologies and Social Communication .
