Mozambique Elections: Nyusi convenes Council of State, meeting underway

The President of the Republic, Filipe Nyusi, today held a meeting with Renamo leader Afonso Dhlakama to discuss the issue of Disarmament, Demobilisation and Reintegration of Renamo men in the Forces of Defence of Mozambique.
The meeting took place in Namadjiwa[also spelt Nhamadjiwa, Nhamadjiua or Nhamagiwa]. at the Vunduzi administrative post [also spelt Vanduzi]. in the Gorongosa district of Sofala province.

The Head of State shared the information through his Facebook account, which reads:”We remain committed to bringing effective and lasting peace and laying the foundations for a prosperous and safe Mozambique for all.”
