The Governor of the Bank of Mozambique, Rogério Zandamela, decided this Thursday (6th) to wind up, with immediate effect, the ‘Nosso Bank’ liquidation commission.
The decision, announced in a press release, comes after the Nosso Banco liquidation process was extended on April 30 for a period of 90 days due to the effects of Covid-19.
In this context, Zandamela told liquidation commission president Irene Luzidia Maurício to complete the process within 60 days.
The Bank of Mozambique dissolved Nosso Banco in November 2016, when the deterioration of the institution’s financial situation affected the main prudential and profitability indicators.
