No fatalities in Maputo ring road pile-up

About 10 vehicles were involved in a pile-up on the Maputo ring road yesterday night.
The accident happened when a dump truck belonging to a company involved in works on the ring road cut into traffic and was hit by a car, leading to a chain pile-up.
Although there was considerable damage to property, reports circulating on social media that 10 people had died were not true, Folha de Maputo reports.
Witnesses said that the traffic police was only called on the scene to establish the facts hours after the accident.
