In the first week of voter registration, nearly 40,000 Mozambicans living in South Africa have been registered.
The majority of Mozambicans are located in the provinces of Mpumalanga, Limpopo, and Gauteng. The goal is to register two hundred thousand Mozambicans across the nine South African provinces.
The Mozambican Ambassador to South Africa, Maria Manuela Lucas, visited four voter registration centers near Pretoria this Sunday. The objective was to monitor the progress of the process and encourage Mozambicans to register.
