Mozambique: Minister Pale in Japan, reaffirms country's commitment to power generation projects

Ncondezi Energy Ltd (LON:NCCL) gave an progress update on its first commercial and industrial battery project in Mozambique.
The company highlighted that it had completed the construction of solar panels and that Tesla battery packs and inverters were now on site and installation was underway.
It is on track to start commissioning before the end of June.
Ncondezi noted that the project is the first of its type in Mozambique. It is targeting 600MWh of power generation per year and has a 15-year offtake agreement and contracted revenues of more than £3.1mln over the life of the project.
Chief executive Hanno Pengilly said: “All main equipment is now on site following the arrival of the Tesla battery packs and inverters last week. The solar panels are now all up and installation of the battery packs and inverters is underway.
“We look forward to commissioning later this month as we move one step closer to our first cashflow.”
