Nampula municipal assembly chooses new president

The Nampula Municipal Assembly meets today in an extraordinary session to accept the resignation of Manuel Tocova from the position of president of that body and elect a new helmsman.
The resignation of Manuel Tocova arises as a result of his being unable to continue exercising his functions having been sentenced to a three-month suspended prison sentence, and also now being charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
