The interim mayor of Nampula, Manuel Tocova, was sentenced today to three months in prison, however, the sentence was suspended for a year.
The Judicial Court of the City of Nampula condemned Manuel Tocova for the crime of disobedience, for refusing to provide documents requested by the Public Prosecutor’s Office on the dismissal and appointment of councillors , and for not abiding by the entity’s warning not to break the law and limit only to carry out urgent acts and for mere management.
