The Investment Fund For Water Supply Assets (FIPAG) in Nampula is to introduce a prepaid system of water supply to consumers, northern regional director of FIPAG Elídio Cossa has told Mozambican newspaper ‘Notícias’.
According to Cossa, during the project’s pilot phase a hundred pre-paid meters will be installed in city areas where water supply and pressure is reliable.
Cossa said that the system has the potential to reduce losses in turnover and improve the quality of service.
