The provincial directorate of Education and Human Development of Nampula has so far this year ordered the removal of 120 teachers for having falsified their teaching credentials.
The provincial director of Education and Human Development in Nampula, Júlio Mendes, says that the personnel in question were working in various public and private educational establishments.
Mendes says the situation undermines the efforts of the government and tarnishes the reputation of the national educational system, and that inspectors were currently checking teaching establishments in all districts of the province for teachers who are technically deficient in the teaching process.
