Mozambique: More than 500 patients to undergo surgery

An open box van of the type commonly called a ‘My Love’ and carrying more than 20 people, tipped over in Praça dos Heróis in Maputo yesterday after crashing into a light vehicle.
Preliminary information indicates that there were no deaths, with victims mostly injured and in shock. Some were rescued by soldiers present at the scene, while others walked to Mavalane General Hospital.
The drivers of the vehicles blamed each other for the accident, with neither prepared to take the blame.
