Mozambique: Court releases Mondlane's financial advisor
File in CoM
The local elections scheduled for October 10 in Mozambique will cost more than 3 billion meticais,
the Director General of the Technical Secretariat of the Electoral Administration (STAE) Felisberto
Naife has said.
Naife said that all the conditions were in place for the process, from the civic education campaign,
registration to voting and dissemination of results, to move ahead without upset.
Naife explained that the census would take place in all districts with local elections within the
established deadlines, including training and delivering material to the field.
The goal, the STAE general director said, was to register a total of 8 million voters in the 53 districts
that will host local elections.
The training and qualification of the STAE technicians ends on Thursday.
