Mozambique: From today, Nampula and Zambézia in the path of Cyclone Judy

A woman from Mozambique has been arrested for allegedly being in possession of 3kg 418gm of a narcotic drug, amphetamine, in Kopar Khairane. The value of the drug is around Rs 85.45 lakh. The woman, Flizarda Alberto Bendane (36), reached India on Friday, said an official of the anti-narcotics cell of Navi Mumbai police.
Senior inspector Ravindra Budhwant expressed surprise that the woman had managed to smuggle the drugs despite checks at the Mumbai airport.
She had put up at a hotel in Colaba. We got a tip-off that a foreigner was to carry drugs. “We spotted her and checked her bags and found three packets of amphetamine. One was hidden under the clothes, two others behind the plywood partition in the bag,” said Budhwant.
The police have not got much information yet as she speaks only Portuguese.
She is in custody till Wednesday.
