Member of the Frelimo Political Commission, Eduardo Mulembwe has said that the relaxation of Coid-19 preventive measures announced by the President of the Republic in his latest address to the nation, opens up the possibility of a session of the party’s Central Committee taking place.
Mulembwe remarked that the repeated postponement of the party’s Central Committee session was essentially caused by the measures enacted following the outbreak and spread of Covid-19 in the country.
Eduardo Mulembwe this Sunday ended a working visit to Cabo Delgado aimed at establishing the political and social situation of the province resulting from the actions of the terrorists, which have caused a serious humanitarian crisis.
According to official figures, the terrorist attacks have displaced just over 700,000 people, as well as causing hundreds of deaths and the destruction of social and economic infrastructure.
