As part of its commitment to empowering young professionals, MozYouth participated as a jury member in the 16th Edition of the Pitch Bootcamp by Flowgroup. The event brought together several companies, providing recent graduates and final-year students with valuable insights and guidance to better prepare for the job market.
The two-day event included interactive training for 103 participants and a pitch evaluation, where MozYouth provided instant feedback to help refine their approaches and build confidence for future professional interactions.
Vanessa Muteia, Member of the Management Committee at MozYouth, shared her thoughts on the experience:
“Being in the position of a judge is fascinating, especially because not long ago, I would have been in their shoes. It’s incredibly rewarding to contribute to someone’s growth, to witness their potential even before they fully recognize it. Many were nervous, unaware of their brilliance, or unsure how to showcase it. This was an opportunity not just to offer feedback but to help them see themselves in a new light.”
Michela Simão, the Pitch Bootcamp Project Manager at Flow Moçambique, described the initiative as an innovative platform that supports young people in their job search journey:
“A professional future starts with preparation, and Pitch Bootcamp is here to accelerate that transformation. For many, this experience marks the beginning of a more conscious, structured, and confident professional journey. We believe that this event serves as a real bridge between young talent and the job market.”
MozYouth was also present during the networking session, where young professionals had the chance to engage in informal conversations with company representatives. Besides that, MozYouth took the opportunity to scout for talent, identifying promising candidates and aligning their potential with MozYouth’s internship program.
By participating in this edition of Pitch Bootcamp, MozYouth reinforces its mission to bridge the gap between young professionals and the job market, contributing to a brighter future for the country’s youth.
