The MozYouth Foundation participated in the People Management Forum, held in the City of Maputo. This reference event in the field of employment and human capital management in Mozambique was organized by Atittude, a Mozambican company specialized in human resources consulting, corporate training, and organizational development. This forum serves as a platform for discussing best practices in talent development and organizational leadership.
Representing MozYouth, Director of Operations Vanessa Muteia spoke about ‘Challenges of Youth Employability’, which aligned closely with the forum’s central aim of fostering innovation in people management and the future of talent development. In her remarks, she highlighted the importance of creating tangible opportunities for young Mozambicans to enter the job market, particularly through paid internship programs such as those offered by MozYouth.
“At MozYouth, we engage with government, the private sector, educational institutions, and public entities, but what we often see is each actor working in isolation. To truly tackle the challenge of youth employability, we must break down these silos. Meaningful progress depends on open communication and aligned expectations. When stakeholders articulate their goals and work together, the result is more than the sum of its parts, and that’s where MozYouth plays a crucial role: as a bridge that fosters synergy and shared impact.” said Muteia.
In addition to sharing experiences, the event was a valuable opportunity to strengthen networks and foster professional networking among individuals and organizations committed to the development of human capital in Mozambique.
Supporting companies through internship solutions
MozYouth offers companies in Mozambique a simple and effective way to integrate young talent into their teams through a fully managed internship program. By connecting businesses with qualified, motivated young Mozambicans, MozYouth helps companies invest in future professionals without the burden of additional administrative work.
“At MozYouth, we take care of the entire internship process — from recruitment and testing to interviews and pre-internship training. Once interns are placed, we continue to support them throughout their journey, ensuring that both the young professionals and the companies hosting them get real value from the experience,” added Muteia.
With a growing database of over 30,000 candidates and new applicants joining regularly, MozYouth can quickly identify interns that match specific company needs. The administrative side is also taken care of entirely by MozYouth, allowing companies to benefit from fresh talent without the need to manage contracts, paperwork, or day-to-day follow-up.
