Mozambique: Government expects almost 100 tonnes of coffee production this year

On 20th April 2022 the launch of the 4th national forum of marketing agriculture took place in Maputo and was organised by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce of Mozambique. The event was officiated by Filipe Nyusi, the President of Mozambique.
The programme of the forum was directed to stress the importance of the marketing promotion in agriculture and supporting industries. The main agenda of the event was to boost the implementation of PRONAI, the National Program of Industrialization in Mozambique.
At the forum, Onório Manuel, the General Director of MozParks, gave a presentation on the role of industrial free zones in the development of the Agro-Processing industry and its impact on the national sustainable industrialisation.
Mr Manuel presented Beluluane Industrial Park in Maputo Province and Topuito Industrial and Agro-Processing Park in Nampula. Both parks are developed and operated by MozParks are good examples of the variety of possibilities for national and international entrepreneurs to grow successful businesses in Mozambique. They also provide employment opportunities for local communities.
Topuito Park offers facilities for developing and manufacturing agricultural products; quality control monitoring; processing and packaging of the goods ready for consumption; storage space for raw products, fertilizers, irrigation equipment; transport services.
MozParks puts a special emphasis on promoting a value chain approach in Agro-Processing businesses and integrating agricultural producers from the communities
