Mozambique’s stock of wheat enough to meet needs until June – Silvino Moreno | Rádio Moçambique

The Government has assured that Mozambique has enough wheat stocks to meet the country’s needs until this June, Rádio Moçambique reports.

The Minister of Industry and Commerce made the announcement this Friday in Tete. explaining that, unless a solution is found to put an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine – two of the world’s largest wheat producers – there may be shortages of this product in Mozambique as from next July.

Silvino Moreno explained that, to prevent this crisis from affecting our country, the government has instructed wheat importers and distributors to make reserves of the product.

O Governo assegura que o país tem stock suficiente de trigo para fazer face as necessidades, até Junho próximo.

O Ministro da Indústria e Comércio que deu a conhecer o facto, esta sexta-feira em Tete, explicou que se não for encontrada uma solução para o fim da guerra entre a Rússia e a Ucrânia, dois dos maiores produtores mundiais de trigo, esta matéria-prima poderá escassear no país, a partir de Julho próximo.

Silvino Moreno explicou que para evitar que a crise afecte o nosso país, o governo orientou aos importadores e distribuidores do trigo, a fazerem reservas do produto.
