Mozambique’s Quelimane fishing port may receive support from Korea

The rehabilitation of Quelimane Fishing Port may be supported by the Republic of Korea, following a request to that effect by the Minister of the Sea, Inland Waters and Fisheries, Lídia Cardoso.
During a meeting held on Monday (08-08) with Korea’s Ambassador Won Sok Choi,
Minister Cardoso suggested several potential areas for collaboration.
In addition to the rehabilitation of Zambezi capital’s fishing port, among others mentioned were technical assistance in monitoring, control and inspection, and help for the Oceanographic Institute of Mozambique (InOM) in its scientific and technological research.
