Mozambique’s participation in the Tokyo Olympics will cost US$230,000 – about 14,720,000 meticais.
This amount is not yet available, but the head of the Mozambique mission to the Tokyo Games, Francisco Mabjaia, promises it will be raised before the country’s delegation departs.
Mabjaia said other logistical aspects of Mozambique’s participation in the Tokyo Games were being addressed.
As far as qualifying is concerned, Mozambique has secured two places in sailing – in the 420 radial laser and in the 470 classes – thanks to to Deyse Nhaquile and to duo Denise Parruque and Maria Machava respectively .
