Mozambique: "Arte Assinada no Feminino" showcases 27 artists at MUSART

André Salvador Mabasso took up his duties as new Director of the National Song and Dance Company on Friday, after a handover ceremony guided by the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Eldevina Materula, at the Cine-Teatro África in Maputo city.
In her speech, the Minister of Culture praised the work carried out by the outgoing director, Luís Naene, who, despite the many difficulties, had successfully guided the destinies of the CNCD through recent years.
Materula urged the new director to embrace team-work in fully responding to the goals set out in the Government’s Five-Year Plan 2020-2024.
In turn, the newly sworn-in director expressed his desire to continue the work of the Company, with the support of all his colleagues.
The outgoing director, Luís Naene, thanked those gathered for the support he had enjoyed in the exercise of his duties, and will now retire from all public service roles.
