Mozambique and Angola deepen economic and cultural cooperation
Tenders for the rehabilitation of National Highway Number One (N1) will start next year.
Speaking in Maputo this Tuesday, spokesperson for the 23rd session of the Council of Ministers Filimão Suazi said that, until large-scale works started, emergency repair of the most dilapidated sections would continue.
“It has become clear that the major tenders for the rehabilitation of the N1 are due to start next year, but interventions at a very localised level are taking place on this same road,” Suazi said. “We know that some information has been circulating that seems to want to introduce some contradiction, which is being conveyed by one and another body, but the information that we formally maintain is this, which, incidentally, is a matter of public record.”
On a different subject, the government spokesperson promised that the government was working hard on making overdue teachers’ overtime payments.
