MozParks, along with more than 20 Mozambican companies representing sectors such as agriculture, industry, transportation, logistics, communications, trade, and services, participated in the Business Mission to Doha, Qatar, from September 14th to 17th, 2024. The mission was designed to attract new investments and establish strategic partnerships aimed at enhancing economic relations between Mozambique and Qatar.
MozParks’ General Director, Onório Manuel, delivered a presentation and participated in discussions focused on strengthening economic ties between Mozambique and Qatar, particularly in industrial development, energy, agro-industry, and logistics.

During his remarks, Manuel highlighted the importance of Mozambique’s expanding industrial sector, stating, “MozParks is proud to lead the development of industrial parks and contribute to the growth of the Mozambican economy. Our mission is to continue fostering sustainable economic zones that drive industrial growth and job creation, while also attracting international partnerships that contribute to Mozambique’s broader development.”

The forum, co-organized by the Confederation of Business Associations of Mozambique (CTA), the Embassy of Mozambique in Qatar, APIEX, the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI), and the Qatar Financial Centre (QFC), brought together over 20 Mozambican business leaders, all of whom explored opportunities for investment and partnerships with Qatari counterparts.
As part of the forum, the Mozambican delegation visited several leading Qatari companies, including Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Financial Center, and BALADNA, the largest producer of fresh dairy products in Qatar. These visits served to strengthen the economic ties between the two countries and laid the groundwork for future collaborations in industrial development, agro-processing, and energy.
The successful conclusion of the Qatar-Mozambique Investment Forum represents a significant milestone in advancing commercial relations between the two nations. MozParks remains committed to furthering these discussions and cultivating partnerships that will foster industrial growth and economic development in Mozambique.
