Zimbabwe deploys drones along Mozambique border to curb smuggling - report

The young man kidnapped on April 15 of this year on Avenida Samora Machel in Quelimane has returned safely to his family in a move which did not involve the police.
The Police Commander of the PRM in Zambézia, Aquilasse Kapangula, confirmed this Monday that the young man was released on Thursday, 6 May.
The son of businessman Nathoobai is alleged to have been kidnapped by five hooded men on Avenida Samora Machel, in the city of Quelimane

According to PRM spoeksman Aquilasse Kapangula, the victim’s return did not involve the police, which is thought to be strange in regard to the way the victim was released.
“The family has not yet said in detail what happened, and how the young man returned to family life,” Kapangula said.
He did however say that the police were investigating the case to ascertain the real circumstances of the rescue.
The PRM Commander in Zambézia was speaking on the sidelines of the launch of the corporation’s commemorative week, which takes place between the 10th and 17th of this month.
